VENUE CHURCH energetically reaches out to people who are scattered. Although our approach is anything but traditional, we believe in & maintain a conservative theological position.

::theBIBLE
We believe that the bible is the absolute infallible word of God. It is spot on, accurate, authoritative, & dependable in every area & moment of our lives. The bible is God’s Word to all people. It was written by human authors under the supernatural leadership of the Holy Spirit.

::theTRINITY
We believe in ONE – ONE eternal God Who’s creative power & genius fashioned the universe with ONE thought. The Creator is three – theFather, theSon, theHoly Spirit – yet remains ONE. He is alive, unconditionally loving, & matchlessly holy. Although each member of the Trinity serves different functions, they each possess equal power.

::theFATHER
God is great: He is all powerful, all knowing, ever present, unchanging, completely worthy of our trust, & above all, holy. It is in Him that we live, move & exist. God is good: He is our Father. He is loving, compassionate, & faithful to His people and His promises.

::theSon
We believe that Jesus Christ is the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords, & the God of gods. He is seated at the right hand of the Father & someday, unbeknownst to all, He will return as He has promised. Jesus is completely human, as well as completely God. He is the only way for bringing those who are scattered back into relationship with theFATHER. He lived a perfect sinnless life, suffered at the hands of Pontius Pilate, was crucified on a cross, & was buried in a borrowed tomb. After three days He rose from the grave, defeating death. He was witnessed by hundreds of people within a 40day period. In & thru Jesus’ resurrection, we have life; eternal life.

::theHOLYSPIRIT
We believe that as promised by Jesus, the Holy Spirit is our helper. His presence assures us of our relationship with Christ. He pilots believers into all truth. He exalts Christ. He convicts people of their sin, as well as God’s righteousness & the coming judgment. We believe that in order to live the holy & fruitful lives as God desires, we need to be baptized in water & be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit. We believe that the Holy Spirit invades our natural, causing the supernatural to become. He {the Holy Spirit} enables us to use all spiritual gifts. We believe that the Holy Spirit is invigorating & without His presence, we have nothing.

::Man
We believe that man is made in the image of God & is the greatest object of His creation. Man was created to walk in fellowship with God but became separated in that fellowship thru sinful disobedience. That choice has caused everyone to be born into sin, which has separated us from God & His perfect plan for each person’s life. But God in all of His awesome love & grace sent ONE – the redeemer of all – Jesus Christ. As both God & man, Jesus Christ has come to save all. He lived a perfect sinless life; He died on a cross in our place – conquering the power of death forever. In and through Christ alone, we receive forgiveness – enabling us to become ONE with Him in new birth.

::Salvation
We believe that the blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, is the only way to receive forgiveness and ‘new birth’ [salvation]. Salvation occurs when we turn from our sins [repent], confess & believe that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world, & completely submit our entire lives to His will. Salvation is a gift from God, it cannot be earned through human efforts, & is sealed by the Holy Spirit.

::Eternity

We believe that our eternal destination – of either Heaven or Hell – is predicated & determined by our personal response to the Lord Jesus Christ. Man was created to exist forever & he will exist eternally separated from God by sin or in union with God through forgiveness & salvation through Christ. To be eternally separated from God is Hell, but to be eternally in union with God is Heaven, as Heaven & Hell are places of eternal existence.

::theCHURCH

We believe the Church is a local community of baptized believers, who are unified in & through faith in Jesus Christ. The Church is committed to the teachings of Christ & obeying all of His commands, & its mission is to bring the Gospel of Jesus to the world. The Church is the Bride of Christ & the very one He is coming back for.

::theOTHERS

We understand that there may be other questions regarding specific doctrinal positions of Venue Church, and although we believe many of these questions are better answered in person through conversation, we do want to answer some of the primary questions that come up and to share with you where we stand.
